Website in a Week process

A clear week-long process, from booking to launch

Website in a Week is designed to feel focused, smooth and easy to follow from your side. The process is structured so you always know what is happening, what I need from you, and when your website is expected to go live.

  • 50% upfront to secure your week
  • Content needs to be ready before we begin
  • First mockup delivered at the beginning of the week
  • Website launched by Friday

How Website in a Week works

This is the process from the point your project is confirmed through to launch.

Step 01

Confirm your project and pay the 50% booking payment

Your week is secured once your project has been confirmed and the upfront 50% payment has been made. This allows me to reserve the time properly and prepare for your build.

At this stage we also confirm the scope of the website, the number of pages, the main goal of the site, and whether you would like any add-ons such as SEO or ongoing maintenance.

Step 02

Make sure your content is ready before your week begins

Website in a Week works best when your written content, images, branding and key business details are ready before the start date. That includes things like your page copy, logo files, brand colours, service information, contact details and any imagery you want included.

This is one of the main reasons the process can move quickly. It keeps the week focused on design, development and launch rather than waiting on missing pieces.

The more prepared your content is, the smoother and stronger the final result tends to be.
Step 03

Your week begins on Sunday with the first mockup

I begin the project on Sunday and create the initial website mockup based on the content and direction already agreed on. This gives you a clear first view of the design direction before development begins.

You will have one major revision round at this stage if the design feels off or not right for your business. Along the way I am also happy to make small refinements, but this larger revision point is there for the bigger concerns.

Step 04

Once the mockup is approved, I move into development

After approval, I begin building the website properly. This is where the design is turned into a working site that is responsive, polished and ready to launch.

From your side, this part is much lighter. You may still see small refinements and details come together, but the main thing needed from you is timely approval and clear communication if anything small needs adjusting.

Step 05

Hosting is set up and fully managed by me, if you want that handled for you

I offer fully managed hosting at $30 per month. If you choose this option, I take care of the hosting setup and management so you do not need to deal with the technical side yourself.

This is usually the easiest option for clients who want everything kept streamlined in one place. If you already have a host or would prefer to use another provider, that is completely fine as well.

Managed hosting keeps things simple because I can look after the setup and keep your website environment consistent from build through to launch.
Step 06

SEO can be added before the build begins

If you would like SEO support, it is best to raise that before your week starts so it can be planned into the project properly. I partner with a local Perth SEO company and handle all communication from my side, so the process stays simple and you still only deal directly with me.

SEO is valuable because it helps your website do more than just look good. It can improve how easily people find you in Google, strengthen your visibility for the services you actually want to be known for, and support more steady long-term enquiries over time.

A beautiful website is important, but if people cannot find it, it can only do so much. Good SEO helps your website become a working part of your business rather than just an online placeholder.

Step 07

Your website is launched by Friday

Once the website has been built, refined and approved, it is launched by Friday of that same week. The goal is for you to finish the week with a live website that feels polished, aligned with your business and ready to be shared.

Final launch timing does depend on content being ready, approvals being given on time, and the scope staying within what was originally agreed.

Step 08

Ongoing maintenance is available if you want continued support

After launch, you can keep things simple with an ongoing maintenance add-on if you would like continued help looking after the website. This is a good option if you do not want to manage updates and general upkeep yourself.

Some clients prefer a clean handover, while others want the reassurance of knowing the site is still being looked after. Either option works.

Support beyond the build

If you want a more complete setup, these are the extras that can be added around your Website in a Week project.

Managed hosting

Hosting can be fully managed by me for $30 per month, which keeps everything simple and under one roof.

It is the easiest option if you want the technical side handled for you.

SEO support

SEO can be added if you want your website to do more than just sit online looking nice. It helps more of the right people find your business, improves visibility in search, and can support stronger long-term growth.

I work with a local Perth SEO partner and manage the process for you so it still feels streamlined and one-to-one.

Ongoing maintenance

If you want help after launch, ongoing maintenance can be added so your website continues to feel supported and looked after.

This is ideal if you prefer not to manage technical upkeep yourself.

Common questions about the process

When does the week actually begin?

The project begins on Sunday, with the first mockup delivered at the start of the week. The goal is to have your website live by Friday.

Do I need to have all my content ready first?

Yes, ideally. Website in a Week works best when your content, imagery and branding are already prepared before the week begins.

How many revisions do I get?

You have one major revision round at the mockup stage if the overall direction feels wrong. Smaller refinements can still be made along the way.

Do I have to use your hosting?

No. I offer fully managed hosting because it is the easiest option for many clients, but you are also welcome to use another host if you prefer.

Can I add SEO later?

Yes, though it is better to mention it before your project starts so it can be planned in properly from the beginning.

What happens after launch?

You can either have the site handed over cleanly, or add ongoing maintenance if you want continued support after it goes live.

If you are prepared, the process can be very simple

Website in a Week is built for businesses that want a more focused path to launch. If your content is ready and you want a polished website live by the end of the week, the next step is to get in touch and confirm your project.
